Seung Chung, Ph.D.

Seung Chung, Ph.D., is a Director, Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) and Quantitative System Pharmacology (QSP), Deerfield Discovery and Development, and joined the Firm in 2026. Prior to Deerfield, Dr. Chung spent over four years at Johnson & Johnson as Associate Director, DMPK / Translational PKPD. Before Johnson & Johnson, he spent over ten years at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc., most recently as Principal Scientist, Nonclinical Drug Safety. Prior to that, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Mount Siani School of Medicine. Dr. Chung holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Yonsei University, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
