Edi Assis

Edi Assis is a Director, Cloud Platform Engineering on the IT team and joined the Firm in 2026. Prior to Deerfield, Mr. Assis spent five years at Soros Fund Management as Head of Platform Engineering. Before Soros, Mr. Assis spent nearly two years at Autonomy Capital Management as Head of Cloud Engineering. Earlier in their career, Mr. Assis spent over two years at AQR Capital Management, serving first as Vice President, Lead of Global Database Operations before transitioning to Vice President, Head of System Engineering. Before AQR, Mr. Assis spent over five years at Pine River Capital Management as Director, Head of Infrastructure & Database Engineering. Mr. Assis holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Finance from Brooklyn College.
