Director, Product and Strategy
Alex Lachapelle, M.D., Ph.D., is Director of Product and Strategy on the Deerfield Intelligence team and joined the Firm in 2025. Prior to Deerfield, Dr. Lachapelle was a Partner, Venture Creation at Operator Partners for two years. Before that, he was Director of Product at Genomics plc for over three years. Dr. Lachapelle started his career in Product & Strategy at Imagen Technologies. Dr. Lachapelle holds an M.D., C.M. from McGill University and a Ph.D. in Engineering Science (Machine Learning) from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
