Mark Veich

Mark Veich is the Executive Director of The Deerfield Foundation and joined the Firm in 2020. Prior to Deerfield, Mr. Veich was Vice Provost of External Affairs at Weill Cornell Medicine, where he served as a member of Weill Cornell’s leadership team, as well as principal adviser to the Weill Cornell Medicine Board of Overseers and its Chairman. In this capacity, Mr. Veich ensured alignment and collaboration with Cornell University on strategic priorities and collaborated closely with Cornell’s clinical partner, NewYork-Presbyterian, as well as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Rockefeller University, and Hospital for Special Surgery. Before Weill Cornell, he spent a decade as Managing Director of Development at Michigan Medicine, the University of Michigan’s health system, where he led teams of fundraising professionals, built global partnerships with other academic institutions, engaged board and volunteer leadership, and collaborated with faculty. Mr. Veich holds a B.A. in Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University.
