Susanna Hall

Susanna Hall is a Senior Director of Data Integrity and Operations and joined the Firm in 2011. Ms. Hall joined in the Switzerland office, where she was responsible for the initiation, development, operation and reporting of qualitative and quantitative research, as well as the oversight of survey programming. In 2019, she transferred to her current position in the United States. 

Bhumika Patel

Bhumika Patel is a Human Resources Manager, Portfolio Company Operations on the External Operations team and joined the Firm in 2019. Prior to Deerfield, Ms. Patel was a human resources generalist and payroll manager at Catalogic Software, Inc., and before that, at Hudson Community Enterprises. She began her career as a human resources generalist for the Elmwood Park Board of Education. Ms. Patel holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of North Texas.

Bryan Sendrowski

Bryan Sendrowski is a Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Deerfield Management. Mr. Sendrowski joined the Firm in 2012. He is responsible for the overall finance, accounting and tax functions for the Firm, overseeing the financial management and related operating activities of the Firm and its affiliates, and overseeing the operational support provided by the External Operations team. Prior to joining Deerfield, Mr. Sendrowski was Chief Financial Officer of New American Therapeutics, a specialty pharmaceutical company that was funded and facilitated by Deerfield’s Private Design Funds. He also previously served in various senior finance and accounting positions at several early-stage specialty pharmaceutical companies and was a Senior Manager in the financial statement audit practice of KPMG with responsibility for the management of public and private company audits. Mr. Sendrowski received his B.A. from Pace University and is licensed (inactive) as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New Jersey.

Jonathan Ramos

Jonathan Ramos is a Principal on the External Operations team and joined the Firm in 2017. Prior to Deerfield, Mr. Ramos worked at LEO Pharma, where he spent six years in various finance roles, most recently as LEO’s US Director of Accounting and Compliance. Before LEO, he was Senior Director of Financial Accounting at Triax Pharmaceuticals for three years and a member of Deloitte’s audit practice for four years. Mr. Ramos holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a Master’s in Professional Accounting from Seton Hall University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Marissa Carnevale

Marissa Carnevale is a Director of Talent Acquisition, Portfolio Company Operations on the External Operations team and joined the Firm in 2018. Before Deerfield, Ms. Carnevale worked at Johnson & Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb, where she focused on procuring talent. Prior to that, she spent eight years at The Judge Group where she served most recently as Director of the Life Science practice. Ms. Carnevale has experience as a Recruiter at Taratec Development Corporation and as Manager of Operations at SRG Woolf Group. She began her career at Kelly Scientifics Resources where she served as Branch Manager. Ms. Carnevale holds a B.S. in Biology from Binghamton University.

Jonathan Simansky

Jonathan Simansky is an Operations Executive on the External Operations team and joined the Firm in 2018. In his previous role as a Finance Operations Specialist, Mr. Simansky provided support to the day-to-day oversight and management of Deerfield’s early-stage private investments. Prior to Deerfield, Mr. Simansky spent six years with KPMG where he served as an Audit Manager within the audit practice. He received his B.S. in Accountancy from the College of New Jersey and his M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from Seton Hall University.

Michael Farrell

Michael Farrell is Head of Portfolio Company Operations on the External Operations team. Mr. Farrell joined the Firm in 2016 as an Operations Executive, supporting the day-to-day oversight and management of investments in the Firm’s Private Design and Healthcare Innovations Funds. Prior to Deerfield, Mr. Farrell was Vice President of Finance at Amarin Corporation, a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company. Before Amarin, he was Controller at Unigene Laboratories, New American Therapeutics, and Akrimax Pharmaceuticals, and served as Director of Accounting at Reliant Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Farrell began his career in the financial statement audit practice at Arthur Andersen, during which time he became a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Farrell holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland. 

Victoria Gaddy

Victoria (Vicki) Gaddy is the VP, Portfolio Company Operations HR & Strategy on the External Operations team and joined the Firm in 2017 to support companies in which Deerfield invests. Prior to Deerfield, Ms. Gaddy was the Vice President of Talent Services with BioNJ. While there, she led the effort to create supportive services to connect employers with talent and provide HR advisory services to the industry. Her career has included human resources leadership roles at biotech and high technology companies, several of which were early stage organizations. Ms. Gaddy holds a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from American Intercontinental University, where she graduated summa cum laude and was awarded lifetime certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resource Management from the HR Certification Institute.
