Marian Brancaccio is the Chief Compliance Officer and Associate General Counsel, and joined the Firm in 2013. She has over 15 years of experience as a legal adviser to private equity funds, structured funds and investment funds and in managing their compliance with laws. Prior to joining Deerfield, Ms. Brancaccio was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Stone Tower Capital, a leading alternative credit investment firm that was acquired by Apollo Global Management LLC. She began her career in private practice as a corporate attorney and specialized in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and transactions. She has also been the General Counsel of a leveraged buyout firm and of a company in the consumer products industry. Ms. Brancaccio holds a B.A. (with high distinction) from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.
