Ben Hecht

Ben Hecht is Corporate Counsel and joined the Firm in 2024. Prior to Deerfield, Mr. Hecht was an Associate at Goodwin Proctor LLP for almost two years. Before Goodwin Proctor, he was an Associate at Latham & Watkins, LLP for more than three years. Previous to that, he clerked for the Hon. Virginia A. Phillips, Chief District Judge, Central District of California. Mr. Hecht holds a B.A. in Psychology from Yale University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. 

Emilia Goetsch

Emilia Goetsch is an Executive Assistant and joined the Firm in 2023. Prior to Deerfield, Ms. Goetsch was an International Workforce Coordinator at Kohler Co. for a year, and a Recruiting Specialist for Schneider National, Inc. She holds a BBA in Management and Human Resources with a Global Health Certificate from the University of Wisconsin.

Dominique Pazzas

Dominique Pazzas is an Executive Assistant supporting the Medical Technologies team and joined the Firm in 2023. Prior to Deerfield, Ms. Pazzas was an Associate Director for Arrow Search Partners. Before Arrow, she was an Executive Assistant/Business Management Professional for Atalaya Capital Management for six years. She also has held several positions in the hospitality industry. Ms. Pazzas holds a B.A. in Psychology from St. John’s University.

Samantha Maison

Samantha Maison is an Executive Assistant supporting Deerfield Discovery and Development and joined the Firm in 2023. Prior to Deerfield, Ms. Maison was a Human Capital Management Associate for Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC, and a Human Resource Business Partner for Morgan Stanley. Before these positions, she worked at Weill Cornell Medicine for three years in varying human resources-related positions, including most recently as Diversity, Engagement and Inclusion Associate. Ms. Maison holds a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Gabrielle Briganti

Gabrielle Briganti is an Executive Assistant supporting the Medical Technologies team and joined the Firm in 2023. Prior to Deerfield, Ms. Briganti spent more than two years at SL Green Realty Corp. in various roles, most recently as Executive Assistant to the COO. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration.

Luci Albertson

Luci Albertson is an Executive Assistant supporting Deerfield Discovery and Development and joined the Firm in 2022. Prior to Deerfield, Ms. Albertson was a Candidate Recruiter for Northbound Executive Search, and before that, she was the Head U17 Regional Coach and Assistant U17 Travel Coach for Northeast Volleyball. Luci holds a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology and an M.S. in Management from Fairfield University.

Eric Rosoff

Eric Rosoff is Compliance Counsel and joined the Firm in 2022.  Prior to Deerfield, Mr. Rosoff was an Associate at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, where he practiced in the firm’s litigation department for over six years.  Previous to that, he clerked for the Hon. Frank Maas, United States Magistrate Judge, Southern District of New York.  Mr. Rosoff holds a B.A from Syracuse University and a J.D. from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. 

Barbara Smart

Barbara Smart is an Executive Assistant in the Deerfield Institute and joined the Firm in 2022.  Prior to Deerfield, Ms. Smart spent 21 years at Salisbury & Ryan LLP as an Executive Assistant.  Ms. Smart holds a B.A. in Communications from Fordham University.

Christopher Jean-Pierre

Christopher Jean-Pierre is a Desktop Support Engineer and joined the Firm in 2022.  Prior to Deerfield, Mr. Jean-Pierre worked as an IT assistant at The Wellspring Philanthropic Fund for four years.  Prior to this role, he was a Help Desk Consultant for Method Group.  Mr. Jean-Pierre holds an Associate Degree in Network Technology from the Borough of Manhattan Community College.

Nicole Delgado

Nicole Delgado is an Executive Assistant supporting Deerfield Discovery and Development and joined the Firm in 2022. Prior to Deerfield, Ms. Delgado was an Administrative Assistant in Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and before that, she was an Administrative Assistant in Radiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Ms. Delgado has also served at Weill Cornell Medicine as a Senior Medical Secretary in the Neurology Department and at NYU Langone Medical Center in roles of increasing responsibility. She holds a B.S. in Healthcare Management from New York University.
