Collection of Information
- Information collected automatically. Deerfield may collect information about you using automated methods when you visit the Site. That information may include non-personally identifiable information such as your computer's or mobile device’s IP address or other unique identifier, your domain server, your type of computer or mobile device, your type of web browser, and statistical information regarding the pages that you visit, as well as the items viewed on the Site.
- Information collected using “cookies”. Deerfield may collect information about you through cookies. “Cookies” are pieces of information that the Site sends to your device while you are visiting and using the Site. These pieces of information allow the Site to remember important information that will make your use of the Site more useful and efficient. You can choose to have your device warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (like Safari, Firefox or Internet Explorer) settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser Help Menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
- Personally Identifiable Information. Deerfield may collect Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) about you. PII is information that identifies you as an individual, such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, etc. Deerfield collects PII from you, for example, when you subscribe to receive newsletters, publications or other materials from Deerfield.
Use and Disclosure of Information
Deerfield may use the general information we collect about your through your use of the Site in the aggregate to better understand general usage of the Site and to improve the Site, our products and services.
Deerfield may disclose such Site usage information as follows: (i) to third parties with whom Deerfield works to enhance the Site and services that Deerfield provides; (ii) to respond to a subpoena or court order, judicial process or regulatory inquiry; (iii) to protect or defend against fraud, law suits, claims or other liabilities; (iv) to protect the security of our systems, or to protect our rights or property; (v) in connection with a proposed or actual sale, merger, or transfer of all or a portion of Deerfield’s business; and (vi) to otherwise assist Deerfield in offering products and services.

Deerfield has no obligation to notify you of such disclosures, except as required by applicable law.
Deerfield restricts access to your personal information (if any) to those employees who need to know that information to provide products and services to you. Deerfield maintains generally accepted industry security standards, including physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, to protect your non-public personal information (if any). No method of safeguarding information is 100% secure. While Deerfield uses commercially reasonable efforts to try to ensure the protection of your personal information, Deerfield cannot assure that all such safeguards will be effective.
Deerfield does not allow submissions of personally identifiable information by any person Deerfield actually knows is a child under the age of 13. By submitting information to Deerfield (whether or not through the Site), you represent and warrant that you are not under the age of 13. If Deerfield learns that any personally identifiable information has been submitted by any child under the age of 13, then Deerfield will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.
California Privacy Rights
Under California law, if you are a resident of California, you are entitled to ask us for a notice describing what categories of personal information we share with third parties or corporate affiliates for their direct marketing purposes. In response to your written request, we will identify the categories of information shared, if any, and will include a list of the third parties and affiliates with which it was shared, as well as their addresses.
